A simple yet effective hydrating layer containing just four ingredients. Providing a cushioning effect that optically plumps the skin. Our custom blend of different hyaluronic acid (HA) molecular weights optimizes the skin's ability to hold water for a refreshed complexion. It is then enhanced with cold-processed aloe vera and fresh distilled green tea hydrosol to calm congestion.

Scent: Fresh and overall very mild. Occasionally you may pick up herbal and other aromatic notes due to the distillation process and the variety of green tea used to make the hydrosol. No added essential oils.

Skin Types: Mild enough for the most sensitive, reactive skin types.

Texture: Light, clear gel. As our most lightweight product and hydrating layer it works well when blended with an oil to create a customized moisturizer. It can also be layered with a moisturizer to boost hydration.

Details

All of the Aloe we use is cold processed and International Aloe Science Council (IASC) Certified. This ensures the integrity and benefits of aloe are received given it is one of the most adulterated ingredients in cosmetics.  This special attention to detail ensures that you are receiving the well known soothing benefits of aloe when being used.

We use a blend of house-distilled & small regenerative farm grown Green Tea hydrosols.  This cellular water creates the perfect foundation for a healthy acid mantle, given the skin identical pH of around 5.5. Lending to the clarifying benefits of the formula overall.

The Hyaluronic Acid (sodium hyaluronate) percentage used is close to 1% since higher dilutions tend to dry out the skin. The molecular weight does not go below 80,000 daltons due to research that extremely low weights can cause increased inflammation. Our proprietary blend ensures gentle and effective hydration.

Sodium Hyaluronate is a lab-created Hyaluronic Acid (HA) derived from plant-based material using fermentation, a sustainable and vegan-friendly. Hyaluronic Acid does not exist naturally in plants, only animals and humans. Thus making it a a biomimetic ingredient that does well with most skin types, especially those who have hyper immune responses or are extremely sensitive.

Our Sodium Hyaluronate is Ecocert certified, created using non-GMO plant materials (often starchy vegetables, beans, and grains), manufactured in the USA, and has environmental stewardship practices to ensure watershed safeguards.

How to Use

After cleansing apply 1-2 pumps to damp or wet skin.  While damp, apply a small amount of facial oil to replenish the lipid barrier and seal in the hydration.

If you have dry skin, add a pump of hyaluronic acid to a couple of drops of face oil to your palm and create a micro-emulsion.  Massage together onto the skin.  Follow up with another layer of just facial oil to lock in the hydration.

If you have more oily skin and prefer a more matte effect, use a sandwich method: apply your first layer of the serum, followed by your facial oil, and end with a second layer of the serum.  This will help the absorption of your facial oil and can be helpful for daily use underneath makeup.
